ATUALIZAÇÃO p/ IPhone 6

Please, update the app for iPhone 6. It is currently having problems when you start the app. It simply hangs and does not allow the trigger button menu.

Promising, but

I was happy to finally see HP launched the 12c. Unfortunately it is disappointing as the resolution is bad, there seems to be no way to turn off the clicking sound and it is not possible to fix to display vertical or horizontal. There are better products available, even at a lower price.

Worth the money

I had been using the clone of this calculator, available here also, for quite some time. It was very good but it isnt this calculator. This one is the real thing. Vertical it is a normal calculator with a tip function that you will hardly if ever use. Turn horizontal it is the HP 12C. A familiar and useful friend. Touch the hp logo and it flips for an instant cheat sheet. Press menu and an abbreviated manual is available. I found it hard to read the key sequences but it is enough. Simply: There is no substitute. Buy this one.

Awsome. Plainly the best hp has.

This app is not just another app. When I put it in landscape it has all the functionality that my regular 12c has. All calculations are exactly what the real calculator does. I recommend this to all who want or need a financial calculator and at $19.99 its still $130 cheaper than the real thing.

Mr

It functions but the keys are very hard to read (and Im young with good eyesight!) because they havent bothered to update the app for retina display. For the price they charge, youd think they can solve this easy problem--which lead me to conclude that they dont care. And do you really want to purchase a product that is manufactured carelessly?

Works but the UI is so outdated

As of today (May 2013) there has been no update, no retina display support. So buy it only if you really NEED the original 12C, otherwise there are plenty out there with a nicer UI and work just as well.

Crabapple.

This is junk... Doesnt work on my 6S plus - I do a simple arithmetic calculation (I.e. 6+6) and then it freezes and wont do a thing! What a rip-off! Piece of crap!

Not working

HP please update. Crashes on iPhone 6. Not updated since 2012 - my bad, I had thought buying the real deal was the best idea. I was wrong.

Rip off, definitely. Look elsewhere.

I bought it, cause I like it real, and fakes not my thing. Even with a high pricetag, its HP that just invented it and I thought the deserved its premium. Well, Is wrong. Two (most) annoying features that the user can address, that have been repeatedly asked by the whole user community, are not included and have not been included in updates (which do not seem to have been issued, by the way). For one, you cant use most of its functions unless you turn it horizontally. It doesnt seem much of a thing, but when you have it lying onto a surface like a desktop, and you already have to swap between apps (a catalogue, a mail message, a web page), adding the 90 degrees rotation too makes for a totally different dance, and quite disappointing. And the next boooo goes for key-click sounds: cheap, like in the 8-bit lo-fi world, but loud, too loud for any civilized office or venue... and you cant turn it off without affecting the phone main volume? You joking? Well, copies, imitations, renderings of the real thing done by third parties address all these issues, do a lot more and cost barely a third, forgetting for a minute that with their price paid once, the user has a right to upgrades that, in case of the "original" one in iOS version HP never seems to have released. I feel Ive been ripped off. Ill use the non-HP version and support its maker, which is way more honest and markets a more genuine tool at a fair price. Now, will this review ever stick to the product page on the appstore? Cause Ive seen none, when I bought this, but thought HP did not need any. I was wrong. Probably all reviews do play a similar tune, and thats why theyre not appearing. Shame.

A classic one

I like to have this "classic one" in my iPhone... HP 12C is one of the best financial calculator of every time! However, now the app need an update: Help key freezes the emulator on the recent iOS, please solve it soon

Wont Lanscape

Just deleted old purchased new Diane problem this is now useless to me

Should get a refund !!!!!!!

I paid for this app more than the new 12c they are selling today. It stopped working. It will not flip horizontally.

Updating

not work properly with iOS 9 and 10 requires updating

HP 12C Platinum

Pure garbage! It does not work on 6S Plus with IOS 10.0.2!!!!! DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!

Terrible!!!

Waste of money!!! DO NOT BUY THIS CALCULATOR

Disappointed

I eagerly awaited the Platinum 12C, but the resolution of the keys is not as sharp as it should be. In particular, the red type for the alternate keys is fuzzy. For $20, the display is quite a letdown. HPs "Platinum" appears to be a knock-off by a third party vendor. I cant speak for the regular 12C, but this version did not live up to my expectations. Perhaps an update will fix it. Until then, Id look at the less expensive alternatives for this 12C. If I knew how to request a refund, I would.

Disappointing

There are much more comprehensive rpn calculators at better prices out there and this one is clunky and relies on nostaglia rather than features to sell. Definitely feel I wasted my 20 bucks on this one and will keep using pcalc for ease and features.

Another shoddy, overpriced port from HP

Buttons are illegible. And even after all the complaints on their earlier products, they STILL released this one with the key clicks too loud and not adjustible. At least for this one (unlike the 15c) you can download PDFs of the real manuals from the HP web site.

Great start needs bug fixes

It is great to have the 12c on the phone with me all the time. I have found some bugs though. One thing is when computing power functions in RPN mode it does not accuratly solve a negative to an even exponent; it outputs a negitive number. Hopefully HP will correct the little bug soon and others that people have found.

No support

Developer hasnt updated in 2 years. Probably wont ever. Glad I paid extra for the official version just to get left in the dust. NOT
